I just brought a new video card and more memory and now my monitor wont work, why ???

I have a Emachines W3410 and I just upgraded to a ATI RADEON X1650Pro video card and Kingston 512MB memory!!! Help please

Do I need another male to male connection between the pc and monitor????|||Make sure that the monitor is connected to the new video card. Are you getting any POST beeps when you first turn on the computer? If so, there could be a problem with the card, make sure it is inserted fully into the motherboard. And also make sure the RAM is inserted fully as well.|||Did you install the drivers for the new video card? Are you sure that the new video card is installed in the pc properly?|||Increase Monitor refreshing rate.|||If your monitor isn't working i'm thinking your computer isn't booting up

if your computer isn't booting up then you may have a faulty device (vid card/ram) inside your puter!

*puter = computer|||The only reason you would need a new connector is if your monitor wouldn't plug in to the video card. If you can see the startup screen, but it won't display in Windows, start in Safe Mode (Hold down the F8 key while you boot), and see if changing the video resolution and/or the color bit depth helps. I have an old IBM monitor that goes blank when I feed it 24 bit. 16 bit and 32 bit both work fine, but 24 makes it black the screen, like it was dead.|||Because your monitors Max Resolution isn't as high as the video cards Min. Resolution
