I am looking to upgrade from my NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M on my Dell Latitude. I am looking to be able to play a computer game that requires a NVIDIA GeForce FX 5900 or greater or a ATI Radeon 9600 or greater.
What is the cheapest video card I can buy that will meet the above specifications?
Also, is it hard to install a video card, or should I bring it to a store for installation?|||i recommend going with nvidia for quality. ati sucks. installation is easy. use the disk that comes with it. install the drivers, shut it down and then install the new card while being sure not to touch the gold contacts and keeping in contact with the metal of the case so you dont kill your system with static electricity.|||if you havent touched the insides of a PC, better go to a store, ask a tech for options on what to buy then let them install the hardware that you buy. while at it, observe the procedures, maybe next time, you'll know how to install devices.
