My friend need a new video card?

he does not want to upgrade his whole computer yet so he is getting more ram and a new video card. him motherboard support AGPx8 he has a radeon 9600 the card he found is a geforce 7600GS. so he is going from DDR to DDR2. and it is only about 70$. will this be a big improvment for his games. oh and he is going from 512mb to 1GB of ram if that helps.|||Going from a 9600 to a 7600 is like taking a big leap from one gen of video cards to another. The extra 500 mb of ram will also help. It really depends on what type of games you are going to be playing. The 7600 will be able to run today's games around medium/high detail.|||Not that much those eat up HD space like photos go at least 2 GIGs and make shore the motherbourd will handle the upgrade speed.
