I have two GB of ram and a Geforce 8500 GT. Which would be better in the graphics card (Geforce 9500 GT.) or four GB of ram? I am looking to upgrade my computer to able to run grand theft auto four smoother.|||get another 1gb of ram and a new graphics card...ram is really cheap now a days except for DDR3|||Get a new video card. The 8500 is crap, and 2 GB of RAM is pretty much gaming standard right now. So you will deffinatley see a bigger performace increase if you buy a new graphics card.
I suggest you look into getting a ATI 4780 or Nvidia 260 GTX Core 216.|||Both Ram and Video card are good enough.
The question you should be asking is if your processor is fast enough to run it.

This is a link to test if your PC is good enough to run specific games.|||I would get the better graphics car, the grahpics card is always the bottle neck to better graphics. 2 gigs of ram should be good on windows xp, but for gaming, 2gigs is minimal on vista. 4 gigs is prob a sweet spot for gaming on vista.|||I think that upgrading the graphics card would be your best bet. Most graphics card have a little onboard memory that is like RAM, but a little faster anyway.|||Ram is low, the Video card is good enough for now. Upgrade to 3 or 4Gb.|||if you want better graphics, upgrade the video card, but RAM is cheap, so upgrade both!|||Do both ;-) But your PC will only see 3 GB or Ram, unless you have a 64 bit system.
