Why is my MSI 980a SLI HDMI ATX AMD motherboard is giving me an alarm after installing a new video card?

The PSU is an 850W and the card (NVidia Geforce 550Ti) is on the compatibility list for this board. The card worked marvelously for almost 2 months and then one day upon restart, the motherboard alarm sounded and would not quiet until I switched out the videocards. I've already RMA'd the videocard to the manufacturer and after testing, they said the card is working perfectly. Help!|||Remove your driver, Remove the card. and Reinstall it fresh with the latest driver.

Update your Chipset driver and AMD Driver before installing the NVidia driver and replugging in the card.|||was your motherboard beeping or was is one constant beep. if you know you can look up the meaning of these beeps (ibm beep codes) online. you have an AMI bios based motherboard so look for AMI beep codes and you might find an answer there
