I got a new video card for Christmas and it plays all my games beautifully except World of Warcraft.?

I got an ADI Radeon HD 3600 Series with my Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.66 GHz processor. World of Warcraft works fine on my 1.8 GHz laptop (if I put the settings on all the way down). Also, my desktop that received the new video card has crystal clear picture when I play Age of Empires 3 on full settings, but when I play WoW on the lowest settings, the screen goes blank and the monitor starts making a pinging noise. I have an Optiquest (Q95) monitor, and I was thinking maybe that is the problem so I am going to get a new monitor. I'm just not sure what else could be wrong, could someone please enlighten me?

PS- the driver I used for the new video card was from the disk that came with it.|||I doubt that there is a conflict between a single program and your monitor, as it is passive technology. Don't go to the expense of buying a new one just yet.

I think that the driver you have installed is the problem. The 3600 is a pretty old gfx card, so the drivers on the CD which came with it will be long obsolete. Download the latest drivers from ATI below.

You don't mention what OS you are using, so I have guessed at XP. If you are using Vista or W7 use the link to find the correct download.|||First i would go to your monitor web site and look up the specs for that. Also look for updates for the game , o.k you got a driver disc for your card but that could also need to be updated, go take a look at your graphic card updates, just to make sure. Hope this helps , happy gaming.
