New video card?

I have an intergrated video card in my computer, and it sucks. I want a new video card so i can play games, but the people at Dell basically said i was screwed, because i dont have a video card slot. is this true?|||True.|||Yeah, that's why Dell sucks. I just worked on two Dell computers and their motherboards give you the bare minimum. I wouldn't purchase a Dell if they sold it for $100. Also, you can't just go out and buy any harddrive because they use different wire connections. This is why they are able to sell computers for so cheap..|||That may be true as far as an AGP video card goes,, but you should have a PCI slot open that you could get like a VooDoo PCI video card,,|||DELL WOULD STEAL THE PENNY'S OUT OF A DEAD MANS EYES TO MAKE MONEY|||Get yourself a copy of CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-137.zip), extract it to a folder and run the cpuz.exe.

Once loaded goto the tab that says "Mainboard" and look at the bottom, there should be a small box that says "Graphic Interface". This will tell you if you have a graphics slot for example AGP 8x, PCI Express, etc. Try that out and if it tells you you have an AGP slot of PCI-E or whatever, goto www.newegg.com and use its advanced search to find a card that best suites your budget and power needs.

PS: Next time you plan on getting a computer, if you have any real tech savvy friends, build your own. It works out much better in the end when you build exactly what you want rather than have a company do it, their not too good with it i must say.
